Silly Wizard's album

Wizard spent the summer on a beautiful green pasture with apple trees and only one other young gelding, which enabled him to thrive and put on much-needed weight.  (Before that he had been expending all his energy pretending he was a stud because two other studs had been here, recently gelded.  Oh, the posturing!)  His chest has filled out and he has truly become a horse of substance.  While there, he developed a taste for apple treats, and apples.  He will eat from my hand, but he is still wary of being touched and needs lots of round pen work.

Left, our troublesome burrs have once again coagulated his forelock.

This is kind of a "before" picture, taken in early spring 2006, still scruffy with winter coat. By the time this was taken he had put on weight.  He was half-starved and very sick when we got him.
